W.M. KECK SEISMOLOGICAL LABORATORY

Researchers at the W.M. Keck Seismological Laboratory are investigating problems in earthquake seismology, plate tectonics, global Earth structure, seismic wave propagation and nuclear testing treaty monitoring. This research is conducted using a computing facility that consists of many networked Solaris Workstations, a 23-node Linux cluster and networked Macs and PCs. Field equipment includes 11 portable broadband seismic stations, 7 dual frequency GPS receivers and antennae and a tripod mounted LiDAR.
