INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING A "FOCUS ON RESEARCH" TOPIC 
UCSC Earth & Planetary Sciences faculty and researchers may submit a topic for the rotating "Focus on Research" section of the home page. All information listed below must be submitted before the topic can be added to the rotation. Please email info to webmaster@es.ucsc.edu.

- One "people picture" or nature/geology photo for the home page (JPEG, GIF, TIF). Keep in mind that this photo will need to be cropped into the dimensions of 310 pixels x 161 pixels (long and skinny). If you are unsure whether your photo(s) will work, please send as many as you have, and the one that works best will be used. You do not need to crop the photos yourself.
- The title of your summary (shorter is better).
- Your name and title.
- Your GENERAL area of study.
- A summary of a project or an area of study in which you are currently involved (some portion of this will appear on the home page). You may wish to include opportunities for prospective grad students.
- Any additional photos, figures or diagrams that you wish to appear on the page with your full project description. Please include a description of where you would like them on the page.
- Links to webpages that relate to your project (either in the text or at the bottom of the page).
